Manicure of the Day!

I have been super busy with work, classes and planning my future that I am severely sleep-deprived and basically relying on caffeine to function. I figured since I have been living off of coffee lately why not devote a cute mani to it! So today's mani is a Coffee Design!  

I used Essie's Case Study (review here) for the foundation color. I also used brown, black and white acrylic paint (as always) to create the beans, cup and cafe! Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore. 

Ocean Breeze

Today's post is for Revlon's Ocean Breeze! Ocean Breeze was generously given to me by the lovely Becky M! Ocean Breeze is a scented polish, it smells like the ocean one its dry! Ocean Breeze  is a beautiful medium metallic blue-green.

Manicure of the Day!

You might be surprised to know that even though I had so many Valentine's Day manis, I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. Thats because my special day is today, February 20th. My boyfriend and I are celebrating our anniversary and that is what inspired today's Manicure of the Day! For our first anniversary, my boyfriend bought me a beautiful Tiffany's sterling silver necklace. I am a bit obsessed with Tiffany's, the color, the box, the jewelry, ALL of it! and was ecstatic. I wanted to share my love of Tiffany's and remember that first anniversary with this mani. Now to the polish..

I used China Glaze's For Audrey, a beautiful Tiffany blue color that Audrey Hepburn would have needed! This creamy gorgeous turquoise aqua blue is one of my favorite polishes ever. I created the accent bow for the "box" with white and black acrylic paint! Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore. On The Beach

Today's review is for Deborah Lippmann's On The Beach, released in February 2012! It is described as a "rich Rivera blue" and is a creme. This bright blue will definitely make a statement and reminds me of the ocean. On the Beach can be purchased at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.

Today's post is for OPI's Kiss Me On My Tulips from the Holland Collection. OPI describes Kiss Me On My Tulips as "a smooch-worthy shade of hot pink." This creme medium pink is a beauty.

Valentine's Day 14!

It is finally Valentine's Day and I am sure a bunch of you with be receiving a lovely bouquet of red roses today. With roses as my inspiration, I am super excited to show you my Rose Manicure! Each nail has a different stage of a roses' life, from a bud to a fully blossoming rose, to a dead rose. The stages do not go in order though. I used Orly's Cotton Candy as a base color. I also used red, black, white and green acrylic paint! Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.

The Valentine's Design for the day is Stripes! A classic valentine's day look, but cute nonetheless. I used Nicole by OPI's Reach Out and Deeply in Love. Today's Valentine's Day look is a Locket Design. This design features Nicole by OPI's Star of the Party. Star of the Party is a wine color with a shimmer. Valentine's Day 9

Only a few more days to Valentine's Day! Today's design is called Love Birds. This look features Nicole by OPI's First Crush Blush (I am seriously in LOVE with some of these names!).Nicole By OPI can be purchased from these retailers. This metallic peachy pink is a beautiful background for this design! I also used brown, green, white and red acrylic paint. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.

Valentine's Day 8

Today's Valentine's Day post is a polka dots design! This design is a bit different from regular polka dots, the colors are arranged in diagonal lines.  The base color for this look is OPI's Planks A Lot.  I LOVE this purple creme. The dots were done with red, white and pink acrylic paint.  Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.

Today's Valentine's Day Mani is Pink Stripe Tip Design. I used Nicole by OPI's Stolen Kisses (another name that matches the occasion!), a bright pink with a beautiful shimmer. Nicole By OPI can be purchased from these retailers. I also used white and pink acrylic paint. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.  

Valentine's Day 6

Today's Valentine's Day design is the Perfect Kiss, designed after Hershey's Kisses! This manicure feature's Zoya's Kristen. Kristen can be purchased at zoya.com. I also used silver, white and black acrylic paint. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.

Valentine's Day 5

Today's Valentine's Day Mani is an Inscribed Hearts design. This design features Zoya's Savita, a beautiful matte purple with a unique shimmer. I used a thin paint brush and pink and white acrylic paint to make the design. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore. The top 2 pictures show the manicure without a clear topcoat (you could use a matte topcoat to keep the design matte) while the bottom 2 designs were sealed with a clear topcoat.

Valentine's Day 4

The Valentine's Day 4 Mani is the Chocolate Box mani! Those heart-shaped boxes of chocolate always remind me of Valentine's Day and this mani is a guilt-free treat for the occasion! I used Nicole by OPI's Deeply in Love (don't you love how perfect the name is?). I also used red, white, black and brown acrylic paint. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.

Today's post is called Bee Mine. I used Nicole by OPI's Take A Stand. Take A Stand can be purchased at these stores. This pink shimmer makes a beautiful base for this design. Yellow, White and Black acrylic paint were used for the bee, path and writing. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore.

Today's Valentine's day post is for the classic Sweetheart nails! I used Nicole by OPI One Voice (yellow), OPI Mermaid's Tears (green), OPI Planks a lot (purple), Zoya Kristen (blue), Essie Raise Awareness (pink).

To start off the Valentine's Day Countdown, Day 1 is this kissing manicure! Using OPI's Planks a lot, and black acrylic paint, I created a silhouette of a couple kissing and decorated the other nails with some smaller hearts.

I am excited to finally show you guys what I have been planning! Pretty in Paint is doing 14 days of Valentine's Day themed manis! Each day I am going to post one (or more) design(s) that have some sort of tie to Valentine's Day, a sort of countdown to the day!
