Feenix Polishes

I am really excited to have these amazing Feenix Polishes for review today! I found these gorgeous polishes on Etsy and was instantly drawn to them! The polishes I have to review are Beam Me Up, Devil With A Blue Dress On, Feenix Rising and Shake Your Tailfeathers. Trust me, you want to see these swatches!

Devil With A Blue Dress On
Coat 1:
 Coat 2:

 Coat 3:

Devil With A Blue Dress On is a dark blue jelly packed with smaller glitter and some larger glitter pieces. I wished that some of the bigger pieces came out more easily, but I love Devil With A Blue Dress On either way. The formula of Devil With A Blue Dress On is a little thicker/globby than I would like, but I would just suggest waiting until each coat is completely dry before applying a new coat. I don't think the formula is a major problem at all and will definitely wear this polish.

Shake Your Tailfeathers

Shake Your Tailfeathers over China Glaze's Turned Up Turquoise
Coat 1:
Coat 2:

Shake Your Tailfeathers is a gorgeous mixture of different sized blues, teals and greens. I am in LOVE with the colors of this polish, they definitely emulate peacock feathers. Shake Your Tailfeathers is thick and a bit sticky, but I think a drop of polish thinner would work perfectly. I love the combination of this polish but did have a couple issues during application.

Beam Me Up
over China Glaze's Secret Periwinkle
Coat 1:

 Coat 2:
Over China Glaze's First Mate
Coat 1:

Beam Me Up is a gorgeous holographic top coat, which transforms any color polish into a holographic beauty! I don't think the pictures do this polish justice but there was unfortunately no sun to take pictures in! I think the holographic effect comes out more with the darker polish (First Mate) but I love the effect either way. The formula was perfect, it applied easily and was not too thick or runny. I already have used a ton of Beam Me Up and may need a back up!

Feenix Rising
over Maybelline Iced Queen
Coat 1:
 Coat 2:
Over China Glaze's First Mate
Coat 1:
 Coat 2:

 Coat 3:

Feenix Rising is topcoat with some neutral holographic glitter. Feenix Rising transforms a polish, and with different polishes. You can see the difference that the "underwear" polish makes, different shades of Feenix Rising are brought out depending on the base color. Feenix Rising again had a thicker consistency, but not as thick as Shake Your Tailfeathers. I am very excited about the different combinations Feenix Rising will allow.

Overall I am excited about the combinations and polishes of Feenix Polish. I have some hesitation about the formula, but I think polish thinner might be able to do the job. You really need to check out the gorgeous polishes Feenix Polish has to offer!

  2. Hi -

I know we've talked about this privately, but I wanted to thank you publicly for an honest, positive review. I also wanted to let you know that I've examined all my polishes for thickness issues and have set about thinning those that may be a little on the thick side. As I told you, I was so fearful of that dreaded indie polish curse...sinking glitter...that I erred in the opposite direction. I think I've got it licked now! Thanks for taking the time to evaluate Feenix Polish.
