I have a couple polishes from China Glaze's On Safari Collection. China Glaze describes the collection as follows:

"China Glaze® nail lacquer invites you to take an exotic expedition with its Fall 2012 collection, On Safari.  Be captivated by the earthy tones, rich plums and celestial sparkles that make up this adventurous assortment of polishes.

The China Glaze® On Safari features 10 rich crèmes and two glitters including:

Kalahari Kiss: Light sand brown
I’m Not Lion: Glistening gold and multi-color glitter
Call of the Wild: Beautiful chocolate brown-dark cherry blend
Adventure Red-y: Vivid red
Desert Sun: Delicious caramel
I Herd That: Brilliant copper glitter
Man Hunt: Bold cobalt blue
Exotic Encounters: Lush green crème with blue undertones
Elephant Walk: Cool graphite grey
Jungle Queen: Smoky violet
Purr-fect Plum: Bold burgundy
Prey Tell: Daringly dark red "

I have Kalahari Kiss, I'm Not Lion, I Herd That, and Purr-fect Plum for review today!

2 Coats Layered over Kalahari Kiss:

I Herd That is a gorgeous mix of gold, and orange-copper fine glitter. I love the combination of the glitter and the smooth formula! I used 2 coats, but might use 3 coats next time I wear it on its own. I liked the combination with Kalahari Kiss as well, the polishes complimented each other well.

Kalahari Kiss
Coat 1: (Flash)
 Coat 2: (No flash)

Kalahari Kiss is a creamy sand colored beige/tan. I used 2 coats for full opacity. I like the color, it reminds me of the "typical" safari wear, the color of the hat and clothing that I think of when I hear safari. I think Kalahari Kiss would would as a base to many glitters or nail art, but I don't love it as a stand alone color. The formula was not as smooth as past China Glaze colors, I found application a bit uneven.

I'm Not Lion

 Coat 2:

 Coat 3:

I'm Not Lion is an amazing gold glitter with a little holographic kick! There is a slight hint of a linear holo, and I almost squealed with excitement when I moved the bottle in the light! This is not your average gold glitter! I love I'm Not Lion,  I used 3 coats for full coverage by itself.

Purr-fect Plum
Coat 1:
 Flash:
I had a bit of trouble capturing the plum color of Purr-fect Plum, the flash picture is more color accurate. Purr-fect Plum is a rich plum creme. I don't tend to gravitate towards this color, but I have to say I loved Purr-fect Plum and could definitely see myself wearing it in the Fall. Application was a dreamy, I only needed 1 coat for opacity. However, I would suggest a base coat as I noticed some slight staining after only a short time of wear.

I was most excited about the glitters in the On Safari Collection and they did not disappoint! They actually surpassed my expectations! I was also pleasantly surprised by Purr-fect Plum. I am curious about the other cremes in the collection and only hope application is half a wonderful as with Purr-fect Plum.
