New Black Walrus Ombre Set

Today(well tonight!) I have an exciting nail polish set for you all! This is The New Black Walrus 5-Piece Set. I LOVE the idea of packaging a set for ombres, I have always wanted to try the trend but did not know exactly what colors to pair together. The New Black ombre sets make it super easy! Walrus is a range of tans, ranging from a white to shimmery brown polish.

Three Coats:
The New Black does not have names on their polishes so I will try to differentiate them based on tan-shade. The darker two shades had better coverage than the three lighter shades, although they were a bit more watery, the lighter colors were a bit thicker but more streaky. The formula overall was pretty good and all the polishes were fully opaque by 3 coats. My favorite was the dark brown, because of the gorgeous shimmer!

Now onto the fun... Stripes!

The stripes were all done free hand. I started off with 2 coats of the second lightest tan, and then made the dark brown stripes. I varied the stripes per nail and just switched between the different shades. I am overall very happy with how this mani turned out. I really enjoyed The New Black Walrus set, as I mentioned before I love how easy it is to pull of the ombre look and I love the colors in this set. You should check out The New Black because they have a ton of different sets that make the newest trends easy for everyone to do!
