Today's post is for Essie's Navigate Her from the Essie Spring 2012 Collection: Navigate Her. Navigate Her is described as a "new growth green." I see Navigate Her as a pale pea green.

Manicure of the Day!

This Manicure of the Day! is a blue gradient. I have been dying to try gradient nails and I am so happy I finally did. I used Zoya's Phoebe (original post here!), Zoya's Twila and Nicole by OPI's No Limits. Some of the pictures are shown with a clear top coat (near the bottom) and some are without. 

Blue and Green Magnetix

This is a review for Claire's Magnetix, they dont have names so I will just call these the Blue and Green Magnetix. The polish was $8.50 but they always have a buy one get one 50% off sale. I picked them up during my last haul! Magnetic nail polish seems to be the newest craze, companies are all coming out with their own lines. I have not tried other brands, but from other bloggers' reviews it seems like the Claire's/Icing Magnetic polishes are some of the best. Now onto the polish, the magnet reveals this metallic dark blue has tones of purple and a light metallic blue. The metallic forest green has undertones of a pale green/silver.

Yesterday I went on a nail polish buying spree! This is what I picked up. Left to Right- Loreal Top Coat (Bed Bath and Beyond, Clearance $2.79 + coupons!), OPI Planks a lot ($4.99 clearance at Ulta + 20% off entire purchase), Essie Nail Polish Raise Awareness ($3.99 also clearance at Ulta), no names for the two Claire's Magnetix but I picked up a metallic forest green and blue ($8.50 each but its buy one get one 50% off)

Today's manicure was inspired by the New York City skyline at sunset. I used  Nicole by OPI's Reach Out, Fresh Squeeze, One Voice and Yellow its me. I also used black and white acrylic paint. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore. You can purchase Nicole by OPI at these stores.

Ultamate Holiday!

This is a review for China Glaze's Ultamate Holiday from their Ulta exclusive Winter 2011 Collection. I got Ultamate Holiday with my Ulta Haul. Ultamate Holiday is a gold multicolor glitter. I love the rainbow shimmer in the light.

Wocka Wocka!

Wocka Wocka by OPI is from the Muppets collection. Wocka Wocka is a darker creamy red with a very dull shimmer. 

Mermaid's Tears

This review is for OPI's Mermaid's Tears which I picked up with my Ulta Haul. Mermaid's Tears is from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. Mermaid's Tears is a seafoam green but with a darker tinge.

This is a review for Essie's Case Study, part of their Fall 2011 collection. I purchased it from Amazon. It is described by Essie as a " rich camel beige" which is spot on. This creamy tan beige is beautiful.

Manicure of the Day!

Its time for another manicure of the day! Today's manicure is galaxy nails,a nail trend that I have tried many times to get but never succeeded with..until now! I used cute polish's tutorial. This look uses Nicole By OPI's Razzle Dazzler, Reach Out, One Voice and OPI's Mermaid's Tears. I also used some white acrylic paint! I used a craft sponge and toothpick to complete this look.

 Today's review is for OPI's Warm & Fozzie from the Muppets Collection. Warm & Fozzie is a brown glitter shimmer duo-chrome that has a strong gold color.

Pepe's Purple Passion is the second polish I am reviewing from the Muppets Collection by OPI. I would describe the color as a plum with a hint of maroon, with a delicate shimmer of red and purple. Click the picture to enlarge!

This is the first review for the Muppets collection by OPI! I was super excited about this collection because of all the glitter and now I am a proud owner of the entire collection! This review is for Animalistic, a brighter shimmery red. It has a slight orange tint in the light.

Julieanne

 This is a review for Zoya's Julieanne. Julieanne is originally from the Wicked collection and is described by Zoya as a "Unique purple sparkles with gold, peach and yellow-green duochrome in a dark blue-purple base." Julieanne has a dark purple base filled with large flecks of gold, a red and more. I posted light and shade pictures to provide a better array of the color. Julieanne can be purchased here.

Sloane

Today's review is for Zoya's Sloane. Sloane is described by Zoya as a "Muted dark purple base with fine purple, red, pink and blue toned shimmer." Sloane had a strong red quality in the light, but appears slightly more purple in the dark, as seen in the 2 coat pictures. You can see the red and blue shimmer in the last pictures. Neeka

This review is for Zoya's Neeka, originally from the Mirror side of the Smoke & Mirrors collection. Neeka is described by Zoya.com as "A greyed amethyst with subtle red duochrome shimmer and bright gold glitter accents" Neeka is a medium purple with a tint of grey, with noticeable flecks of a gold/silver. There is a slight reddish-pinkish shine in the light, but it is not very noticeable. Neeka can be purchased here.

Dannii

This is a review for Zoya's Dannii, originally from the Intimate Collection. Zoya describes Dannii as a "Medium orchid purple with pink and champagne highlights and flecks of silver metallic shimmer." I agree with this description, a light-medium purple with a silver, pink metallic shimmer. Dannii can be purchased here

1) Since I can remember I have had the habit of biting my nails. I paint them to try to get myself to stop, but mostly when I'm stressed out I will still bite them :( I've tried telling people to hit me when they see it, bad tasting nail polish, everything but the stress gets to me!

2) I am a psychology major with 2 minors, one in biology and one in fine arts

3) I have always loved dancing, I took dance classes from the age of 3 until I graduated high school. Ballet, Tap, Pointe and Modern :)

Marry/MarryJ

This is a review for Marry/MarryJ from Zoya. Described by Zoya.com as a "Warm, light red-toned purple frost with strong gold, green and blue duochrome shimmer." I saw this purple as a pink-purple, with a slight shimmer, however in the shade/dark it was slightly more purple. MarryJ can be purchased here

I am not a gigantic fan of MarryJ, pictures show it is slightly streaky after 2 coats, however my sister loves this color and swears she will wear it all the time. Its a delicate darker purple-pink, with a beautiful metallic shimmer. I would personally choose a more opaque color but that is just me.

Savita

This is a review for Zoya's Savita originally from the Matte Velvet Collection. Savita is a medium purple with a metallic shimmer and matte finish. It can be purchased here.

As my first matte polish, I've fallen for Savita, the purple is a gorgeous color and is fully opaque in 2 coats. The first coat was slightly streaky but the 2 coat easily fixed that. Be warned, although Zoya is known for not chipping for days I've heard mattes chip easily, make sure you wear a basecoat! You should definitely pick up Savita!

Manicure of the Day!

I just can't help but change my nails after a few days. I know its the middle of winter but with the warmer temperature I couldn't help but think of Spring. Plus there's nothing like looking down at a bright and happy manicure when it does get cold outside! 

Faye

Faye by Zoya is a described by Zoya as "A bronzed mauve with purple and brown undertones flooded with bright gold sparkle." Zoya nail polish can be purchased here.

Faye's formula is fantastic, full coverage in 2 coats! I love this shade too, although I see it as more of a pink than purple. The best is the slight change in color in the light. I would definitely recommend Faye.

Rina

This is a review of Zoya's Rina. Rina is a darker green bar glitter.

I found a new glitter love! Bar glitter has a very interesting texture, it almost reminds me of something furry :p! For a glitter, it is nice that it covers in three coats. Although, I would suggest using a solid base color and using one to two coats of Rina on top, it would not seem so heavy on the nail. I love the new colors Zoya keeps coming up with!

Dree

Today I'm swatching Zoya's Dree, it is a olive green creme from the Smoke side of the Smoke and Mirrors Collection. I purchased this color during Zoya's holiday flash promos. It can be purchased here. Click the pictures to enlarge them!

I LOVE Dree, it had full coverage in 2 coats. The formula was smooth and opaque, I love Zoya's formula and this was definitely a win for me.
