Mani of the Day!

Todays post is a mani of the day! I havent done one of these in quite a bit of time so I wanted to post this one! Today's mani is a bird silhouette mani. I cant help but think "Blackbird singing in the dead of night,Take these broken wings and learn to fly, All your life, You were only waiting for this moment to arise" I was actually inspired by the bird branch decorations I have in my dorm, I spent hours drawing and cutting out these branches!

Onto the polish..

I used Essie's Chinchilly as a base color for this design. Chinchilly is described by Essie as a sleek granite grey. I LOVE this grey, it works well with my skin tone and is just gorgeous! Chinchilly can be purchased from Essie here.

I used black acrylic paint to make this design. Acrylic paint can be found at your local craft store, Michael’s and ACMoore. 

I live by the small paintbrush set I bought from Michaels to be able to do designs like this, but it isnt too bad honestly! Its just a couple of wavy lines, two ovals and a  triangle for a "beak." Its a pretty drab day here and this mani was just perfect! Please let me know what you think of it!
