Dazzle Dry!

Today's post is for Dazzle Dry's Quick Dry System, Pink Plume and Silver Lace Texture. The Quick Dry System contains a base coat, top coat and nail prep! Pink Plume is a medium pink magenta creme. The Silver Lace texture is a silver shatter, but a little different from a normal shatter, which you can see below!

Nail Prep:
The Nail Prep "sanitizes and prepares the nail for lasting adhesion of nail polish on natural nails, promoting longer lasting manicures." I did not notice anything incredibly different with my nails because of the Nail Prep, but I also only swatched the polish and did not have it on long enough to know the "lasting effects"
Base Coat:
I am not the biggest fan of this base coat, it applied pretty gloopy. The base coat came out off the bottle in sticky strands at one point, but applied decently, minus a few bumps.
*Note: I have been told that warming up the base coat n warm water until it is clear will make the base coat thin and easier to apply*
Pink Plume
Coat 1:

 Coat 2:

The formula for Pink Plume is pretty great, a two coat creme that applies smoothly and evenly. I was not completely blown away by the color though, it seems like a standard magenta. I would definitely be interested in trying other Dazzle Dry polishes because of the great formula though. (Note: I used different lighting to try to correct for the color, but the photographs are still slightly off =/)

Silver Lace Texture:

I am not the biggest fan of the shatter manis, but I do like the Silver Lace Texture from Dazzle Dry. The shatter was a bit different, and I am interested in how it changes depending on application. I will have to try some funky things!
With Top Coat:

By far, my favorite part of this system is the Top Coat. Dazzle Dry's top coat is AMAZING! One of the best, if not the best top coat I have tried. It dries quickly and is super shiny! I want to purchase some back ups for when I run out! This is definitely my new favorite top coat and I am thrilled!

  1. Thanks for your review. Please note that the Dazzle Dry Base Coat has to be totally clear and fluid like water before you use it. To do this, you can immerse the closed bottle in warm/hot water or sit on it or put it under warm/hot water until it is totally water clear. It will revert to a gloppy or gel like consistency if the temperature of the room where you store it is below 70 degrees F. If you use the Base Coat when it is cloudy, gloppy or gel-like, the polish will chip prematurely.

  4. I hate crackle top coats. I really do. Every time I use one I look at my nails and see paint peeling off the side of an old ratty barn. YUCK!

That said, I am excited to see these "lace" textures. The finish looks much sheerer and definitely a better accent for the color below.

Thanks for your review. I would consider trying one of these from Dazzle Dry! :)

I'm not a big fan of crackles either but this 'lace texture' looks lovely!
